Cody has reason to celebrate this week as local student-athlete Ellie Talich was named one of the winners of the 51st Milward Simpson Award, one of Wyoming’s most respected honors for high school scholar-athletes.

Talich was recognized alongside Sheridan’s Beck Haswell, with both students earning the award in the latest class of recipients. The Milward Simpson Award has a long tradition of honoring Wyoming’s finest young people who excel both in athletics and academics.

For Cody and its community, Talich’s selection is a proud moment — a testament to the dedication and character that local students bring to their schools and to the state of Wyoming. Congratulations to Ellie Talich on this well-deserved recognition!
