A joint operation between the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Metro Narcotics Street team and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Colorado Springs Regional Office has resulted in the seizure of seven pounds of cocaine.
Details of the Operation
According to officials, an eight-month-long investigation ended after two search warrants were served in Colorado Springs on Tuesday, July 7. A DEA task force and CSPD Tactical Enforcement Unit served warrants at 2400 Payne Circle West and 1100 Hathaway Drive, which were tied to larger drug trafficking organizations based in Mexico.
Approximately 110,000 fentanyl pills, seven pounds of cocaine, two and a half pounds of methamphetamine, and two pounds of powder fentanyl were seized. Additionally, $100,000, seven rifles, and three pistols were found, with three of the firearms reported as stolen.
Three individuals, Jacob Tardiff, Martin Medina, and Rogerio Barraza-Mendoza, were arrested as part of the operation.
