The College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) is nearing its conclusion, with the final performance set for Saturday night at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming. After four performances, 102 athletes have competed, and the top 12 in each event have advanced to the championship round.
Leaders Emerging
In bareback riding, Kooper Heimburg from Missouri Valley College leads with 243.5 points, just ahead of Carson Hildre from Clarendon College. Heimburg had the high marked ride on Friday with 81.75 points.
In tie-down roping, Travis Staley from Tarleton State University won the third round with a time of 7.1 seconds. Tyler Hansen from Bismarck State College leads the overall standings with 28.4 seconds.
In breakaway roping, Joslyn Arnold from Walla Walla Community College won the third round with a time of 1.8 seconds. Jessi Everett from Texas Tech University leads the overall standings with 7.0 seconds.
In saddle bronc riding, Tagg Bond from Clarendon College won the third round with 85 points and leads the overall standings with 254.75 points.
In steer wrestling, Andrew Morian from Clarendon College won the third round with a time of 3.7 seconds and leads the overall standings with 12.2 seconds.
