A baby giraffe has been born at the Hilcrest Park Zoo in Clovis. The Rothschild giraffe was born on July 9 to first-time mom, Jessica. Both mother and calf are doing well and the baby will make his debut to the public on July 18 at the zoo.
Because the calf is a male, city officials say the giraffe won’t be at the zoo long. The calf will eventually be transferred to another facility or another zoo.
