Clear Creek ISD expands successful instructional support to all campuses

Clear Creek Independent School District announced that the instructional support system that lifted test scores at nine targeted elementary and intermediate campuses will now be applied to every campus in the district. The move follows a noticeable rise in performance during the 2025‑26 school year, where the district documented an average 4.6‑point gain for elementary schools and a 6.5‑point gain for intermediate schools compared with the prior year.

Targeted campuses and new support roles

During the 2025‑26 school year, the district focused resources on Whitcomb, Armand Bayou, Ward, Stewart and McWhirter elementary schools, as well as Clear Lake, Clear Creek, Victory Lakes, Space Center and another intermediate campus. Each site received a campus instructional specialist and a district content specialist.

A campus instructional specialist works directly with teachers, conducts root‑cause reviews of student data, and implements the campus’s tiered support plan. The district content specialist brings subject‑area expertise, aligns instruction with district priorities, and backs campus specialists with deeper content knowledge.

Measured improvements

District documents show that the focused support produced measurable gains. Elementary campuses saw an average increase of 4.6 points on state assessments, while intermediate campuses improved by an average of 6.5 points. District officials said the data demonstrate that targeted coaching and content expertise can raise achievement when applied consistently.

District‑wide rollout

Buoyed by those results, Clear Creek ISD will now provide the high‑level instructional support model to all schools. Additional layers of assistance will be customized for each campus based on data and specific needs, officials explained. The district plans to keep the system flexible, allowing schools to add support tiers as student performance data dictate.

Next steps and accountability

Superintendent and board members will continue to monitor student outcomes. Officials will present updated data and learning results to the board of trustees throughout the remainder of the school year. A mid‑year goals review is slated for January, with a comprehensive instructional systems update scheduled for February.

Community members and parents are encouraged to attend board meetings and stay informed about how the instructional support plan is impacting classrooms. The district emphasizes transparency and invites feedback to ensure the system remains responsive to local needs.
