Rob Anderson, with Reform Clark County, expressed concerns about three Clark County Auditor candidates seeking support from Indivisible Greater Vancouver. The candidates, Ty Stober, Sharon Wiley, and Mitchell Kelly, attended the group’s monthly meeting on July 9. Anderson listened to the session and reviewed the group’s published guide, which he found to use extreme language toward political opponents.
Indivisible’s Guide and Tactics
The Indivisible Guide encourages supporters to turn fear, anger, and grief into action, often spewing pure hatred toward certain groups and individuals, including the current president, ICE officers, the FBI, Israel, and Elon Musk. While strong emotions can drive activism, repeatedly demonizing fellow citizens does not foster meaningful dialogue and risks real harm.
Auditor Candidate Eileen Quiring O’Brien stated she wasn’t invited to the July 9th Indivisible Meeting and would not have attended if she had. Clark County deserves better than imported division and hate-filled rhetoric.
