The Cincinnati Zoo is once again lighting up October with its third‑annual Jack O’Lantern Glow, the region’s largest pumpkin‑lit trail. From Oct. 2 through Oct. 31 (excluding Mondays Oct. 5, 12 and 19), visitors can stroll a half‑mile pathway lined with over 6,000 hand‑carved pumpkins, each created by talented local artists.

“Jack O’Lantern Glow was already the largest event of its kind in the Tri‑state area, and we’ve added even more pumpkins to the mix this year,” said Cincinnati Zoo events manager Sydney Boudreaux. The layout has been refreshed to accommodate new themes, and every corner offers a fresh, photo‑worthy display.

Last year’s pumpkins featured iconic Cincinnati symbols such as Skyline Chili, Fountain Square, Music Hall, and the city’s beloved sports teams. This year’s artists have expanded the roster, adding new designs that celebrate the community’s heritage and even a special “Fiona” pumpkin tribute.

In addition to the glowing trail, the zoo offers fall‑themed food and drink options, interactive activities, and access to two indoor habitats – the Reptile House and Night Hunters – allowing guests to explore wildlife while the pumpkins shine.

Adult tickets range from $15 to $25, while children’s tickets are $10 to $20. Zoo members receive a discount, and a “Boo Bundle” offers four tickets for $44. Children under three years old enter free.
