A total of $9,415,725 will be awarded to the men participating in the Open, while $7,433,076 will be awarded to the women. The men’s total prize pool is increasing by 2.4% from last year’s prize pool of $9,193,540. However, the women’s prize pool is increasing by a massive 44.3% over last year’s prize pool of $5,152,599.
The Cincinnati Open has always offered more money to the tournament’s male participants over their female counterparts, but the prize pool difference between the ATP and WTA has never been smaller than it is this year.
