Cincinnati is welcoming 30,000 visitors as the 2026 Omega Psi Phi Conclave brings fraternity members to the city for business, community service, and social events, providing a significant economic impact.
Preparations and Investments
Julie Kirkpatrick, interim president and CEO of Visit Cincy, said the city has been preparing for this event for two years. The city is rolling out the purple carpet in all 25 hotels in the region, draping the city with a welcome message to make sure visitors feel valued.
Kirkpatrick highlighted how the city’s investments are paying off, citing the $250 million invested in the convention center and the upcoming half-$1 billion investment in the headquarters hotel.
Fraternity’s Community Service
The fraternity, known for its community service, spent the day volunteering at local shelters and will also host several events for youth in the city. Ricky Lewis, Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., said Cincinnati stood out with the best bid to host the event.
