The Cincinnati Bearcats have started their summer practices under new head coach Jerrod Calhoun. Calhoun, a former student assistant at Cincinnati, aims to guide the Bearcats back to the NCAA Tournament after a few years of absence.
New Season, New Coach
Calhoun is instilling ‘March habits’ into the Bearcats’ roster, which consists entirely of transfers. The team’s head coach has high expectations for the upcoming season despite the overhauled roster.
Among the players who could play significant roles for Cincinnati are Towson transfer forward Tyler Tejada, Tulsa transfer guard Tylen Riley, and George Mason transfer center Riley Allenspach. These players averaged over 13 points per game at their previous schools and will be tested in the Big 12 conference.
