Central Oregon Sees Dry, Warmer Pattern

Central Oregon will see several dry days ahead with warming temperatures into next week as high pressure builds over the Pacific Northwest.

Warmer Temperatures Ahead

Today will be a little warmer than yesterday with highs climbing into the mid to upper 60s. Mountain areas could still see a few lingering showers today while lower elevations remain dry. Winds will be breezy at times, but they should ease overnight.

Temperatures have been running below normal, so it’s been feeling more like spring than summer lately. That’s set to change very soon. Expect a more noticeable warm up tomorrow with highs climbing into the low 80s. Temperatures in the low to mid 80s will continue through the weekend with plenty of sunshine.

Breezy conditions are possible this weekend, which could lead to elevated fire danger across Central Oregon. By Monday and Tuesday, temperatures could climb into the upper 80s and low 90s.

Enjoy the warm weather over the next few days, but be sure to stay safe in the sun and keep hydrated if you’re spending time outdoors. Don’t forget to download the Local Alert Weather App to stay connected with our team of meteorologists.
