A cat named Toast Malone has been reunited with his family after surviving a fire in Utah. The cat was found hidden inside a closet in the fire-ravaged apartment building, where he had been trapped for three days.
Miraculous Survival
According to the Utah’s Unified Fire Authority, the cat was cold, wet, and scared but otherwise okay. The fire destroyed the apartment building, including the unit where Toast’s owners had planned to live after their upcoming wedding in October.
Toast’s owners, who were recently engaged, expressed their gratitude for the cat’s survival. “We are SO grateful he’s still alive,” said Madi, one of Toast’s owners. “Everything else is just stuff. We have even laughed about it … now that we have Toast back.”
