Casper, Wyoming – The City of Casper Recreation Division announced a free community event called “Bases, Burgers & Blockbusters” scheduled for Friday, August 21, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Mike Lansing Field.
Family movie night details
Attendees will gather on the field to watch the baseball‑themed film The Rookie projected onto a 100‑foot screen. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., with the movie beginning around 8:00 p.m.
Before the film, the recreation department will provide a variety of outdoor games, including wiffle ball and a giant Connect Four board, giving families a chance to play together.
Food and beverage options
Complimentary drinks will be supplied by Admiral Beverage, while local food trucks Eat All Day and Sugar & Ice will serve a selection of snacks and meals throughout the evening. Families are also welcome to bring their own refreshments.
Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
About Mike Lansing Field
Mike Lansing Field, built with Natrona County one‑cent sales‑tax funds and opened in 2002, is one of Casper’s 33 athletic fields. It hosts roughly 110,000 participants each year and has been home to teams such as the Casper Baseball Club, Casper Rockies, Casper Ghosts and the Casper Spuds.
