The Casper City Council has approved a contract for repairs to the Casper Recreation Center. The work includes replacing the facility’s aging rooftop heating and cooling units.
Contract Details
The agreement with local contractor Casper Tin Shop LLC is valued at $765,064, which includes a base bid of $655,864 and an additional $34,200 for five bid alternates and a $75,000 construction contingency account to cover potential unforeseen costs during the replacement process.
Funding for the improvements is sourced from the one cent optional sales tax fund, which had been specifically allocated for the recreation center’s rooftop unit replacements.
The work is expected to be substantially completed by May 28, 2027.
