CASPER, WY — The City of Casper released its official schedule for Labor Day 2026, confirming that Monday, Sept. 7, will be observed as a federal holiday. City Manager Janine Jordan explained that while administrative offices will be shut down, critical city functions will remain fully operational.

“City of Casper administrative offices will be closed, yet our emergency services as well as our critical water and wastewater treatment plants will maintain their regular around‑the‑clock hours,” Jordan said. “Our solid waste crews will collect garbage as usual on Monday, and many of our other crews will be on call to respond as needed.”

Caspar Museum is featuring a Smithsonian exhibit titled Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, which will be open all weekend.
