Casper residents and visitors will gather on Saturday, September 12, for the 25th‑anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Ford Wyoming Center. The event, now a local tradition, honors the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, including the firefighters, police officers, paramedics and other first responders who lost their lives.
Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., followed by opening ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. The climb continues until 1:00 p.m., giving participants ample time to complete the challenge. The course is designed to mirror the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Those unable to tackle the nine laps of stairs can use a ground‑level route that covers the same vertical distance.
