Carla Anderson, a 23-year-old woman from Wadena, Minnesota, vanished from her apartment in November 1987. Her family and the local police department have been searching for her ever since. Carla’s brother, Dan Anderson, recalls the night she disappeared, saying she had spent the evening with their mother and stepfather, celebrating her being chosen as employee of the month at Hardee’s.
The Investigation
The police investigation into Carla’s disappearance has been ongoing for nearly four decades. Initially, investigators believed she may have left her apartment willingly, but as the years went by, they began to suspect foul play. The police have followed up on numerous leads, including a brown car that was stolen near Carla’s apartment building, but so far, none of them have led to her whereabouts.
Carla’s family has been working closely with the police to find her. Her mother, Roberta Wells, had been in regular contact with Carla and was planning to style her hair for her employee of the month photo the day after she disappeared. When Carla didn’t show up for work, her family knew something was wrong.
A New Reward
A new $25,000 reward has been offered for information about Carla’s disappearance. The police are hoping that someone in the community will come forward with information that can help them find Carla. Wadena Police Chief Naomi Plautz is certain that someone knows what happened to Carla and is urging them to come forward.
