A vehicle crashed into a pond off North Hercules Avenue in Clearwater, Florida, on Saturday morning. The driver was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue units responded to the scene at approximately 11:50 a.m. and found the motor vehicle at rest in a body of water adjacent to a building. The driver was no longer inside the vehicle when crews arrived.
Bayflite airlifted the patient to the hospital. Authorities reported that the cause of the accident and the identity of the driver were not immediately available.
