Capybaras, known for their calm demeanor, have been visiting the Brazilian state legislature in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso. The building is next to a park filled with wildlife, and the capybaras have become regular visitors.
Staffer Nayara Bueno filmed the unexpected visit on July 30 and tried to lead the mammals back to the park. The capybaras caused no damage to the Mato Grosso state legislature.
Capybaras are semi-aquatic animals that thrive near rivers, lakes, and wetlands, often living in groups and growing up to 175 pounds. Their visit has drawn attention to the unique wildlife in the area.
