The Florida Chamber of Commerce announced its official endorsement of Representative Byron Donalds for Governor of Florida. In its announcement, the organization highlighted Donalds’ past support for local businesses, his focus on expanding workforce education, and his goal to keep the state’s economic environment competitive.

The Florida Chamber stands as the largest business advocacy group in the state, representing more than 139,000 companies and the employment interests of over 3 million private-sector workers. “Florida is changing. Florida’s economy and population continue to grow, and in order to keep Florida moving into the next eight years with as much positive growth as the last eight, voters must get to the polls and elect leaders like Byron Donalds,” said Florida Chamber President and CEO Mark Wilson.

Donalds is the only candidate currently running in the race who has background experience working in the private sector. A central piece of his platform is a permitting reform plan titled “Florida Means Business,” which is designed to reduce government regulations and speed up private investment and job creation across the state.
