Burger King is introducing a new promotion called the ‘Whopper Guarantee’ to improve customer satisfaction. If a Whopper does not meet a customer’s expectations, they will receive a remade Whopper and a coupon for a free future Whopper.
Details of the Promotion
According to Burger King’s press release, the Whopper Guarantee is part of the company’s renewed push to improve customer satisfaction. Dissatisfied customers can retrieve the coupon for the free Whopper by scanning a QR code on the inside of the box.
The Whopper Guarantee is not a new practice in the fast-food industry. In the 1990s, McDonald’s offered a similar promise, extending the money-back guarantee to its entire menu. However, the company eventually phased it out.
Today, most fast-food restaurants will replace an item or provide a refund if a customer has a real problem with the food, but none have an explicit money-back policy. Some grocery chains, such as Aldi and Giant Eagle, offer similar guarantees on their store-brand products.
