Local pet retailer Brookside Barkery recently unveiled its new store at the Corinth Quarter shopping center in Prairie Village. The store offers a wide variety of pet eats and treats, with a focus on healthy ingredients.
Healthy Pet Food Options
According to owner Brian Murphy, the store’s products do not contain fillers such as corn, soy, or wheat. Brookside Barkery is also in the process of reorganizing its stores into a “solution-based” format, allowing customers to find products tailored to their pet’s specific needs.
In addition to its products, Brookside Barkery also offers grooming services, which have already become popular at the new Prairie Village store. The company has also launched Instabark, a same-day home delivery service.
Expansion Plans
The Murphy family took over ownership of Brookside Barkery in 2022 and has since expanded the brand’s presence in Johnson County. The company has stores in Overland Park, Leawood, Shawnee, and Gardner, and is planning to open another store at the Bluhawk shopping center in southern Overland Park.
