The Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana, has achieved a significant milestone by ranking No. 76 among U.S. venues and No. 162 worldwide in Pollstar’s midyear rankings.
Improvement from Last Year
This marks an improvement from last year, when the arena finished No. 95 nationally and No. 182 worldwide. General Manager Tyler Slanovec attributed the recognition to the hard work of the arena’s staff and a strong start to the year’s event schedule.
The arena hosted about 50 events during the first 100 days of the year, including sporting events, concerts, family shows, monster truck events, and rodeos. Since opening in 2000, the Brookshire Grocery Arena has become a major entertainment destination for the Shreveport-Bossier area, hosting a wide range of events.
Versatility and Improvements
Slanovec credited the venue’s versatility in attracting a variety of performers and events. He also mentioned behind-the-scenes improvements, such as upgraded dressing rooms, expanded local concession options, and efforts to improve the overall experience for performers and fans.
The arena’s location is another advantage, with access to Interstate 20 and large parking areas that allow touring trucks and buses to remain on site. Slanovec emphasized that success in the live entertainment industry ultimately comes down to relationships and creating a positive experience for artists and audiences.
