Broken Arrow Public Schools announced a new partnership with Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) that gives students in the Broken Arrow High School Construction Academy a direct route to college credit. Beginning in the 2026‑27 academic year, participants can earn a micro‑credential in Construction Fundamentals and up to nine credit hours toward OSUIT’s Associate in Applied Science in Construction Technology, Construction Management option.
How the pathway works
Students who complete three aligned construction pathways covering topics such as construction materials, blueprint reading, construction procedures and OSHA safety requirements may qualify for prior‑learning credit toward the degree. After successfully finishing six semester credit hours of college‑level coursework through OSUIT, the credit will be posted to the student’s OSUIT transcript.
Local schools provide resources
The Broken Arrow High School Options Academy will host the courses. Broken Arrow Public Schools will supply qualified instructors, classroom and lab space, equipment, supplies and materials. OSUIT will align and oversee the core curriculum, providing training content and instructional materials.

Agreement details
The agreement runs from July 1 2026 through June 30 2029 and may be renewed in one‑year increments. Implementation will be phased, with the first cohort enrolling in the 2026‑27 school year.
