Nurses at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston are expected to return to work on Monday morning, five days after they went out on strike. All of the nurses will walk in together at 7 a.m., but the outcome is bittersweet for many of them.
Negotiations Continue
The hospital hired about 1,300 temporary nurses to fill the void during the strike. The hospital said nothing has been affected and operations remain the same, but the nurses disagree. Regardless, the two sides are still seemingly far away from reaching a deal, with over 20 failed negotiation attempts and no new negotiation day set.
