The Milwaukee Brewers have bolstered their rotation by acquiring right-handed pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and left-hander Colton Gordon from the Houston Astros. The Astros will pay the Brewers $4,227,273 to offset most of McCullers’ remaining salary.
McCullers’ Career
McCullers, 32, is the son of former big league reliever Lance McCullers. He has spent his entire career with the Astros and has helped the team win the World Series in 2017 and 2022. McCullers is 53-40 with a 3.85 ERA over 154 games.
Gordon, 27, made his major league debut in 2025 and has started one of his four appearances with the Astros this season. The Brewers also cleared space on the 40-man roster by placing left-hander Rob Zastryzny on the 60-day injured list.
