Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa, is honoring a beloved resident with a specially designed grave marker. Blossom the goose lived at Lake Woodmere in the cemetery for years and gained national fame during a search to find her a new companion.
That search was successful when Frankie the goose joined her at the cemetery. The two were inseparable until Blossom was hit by a vehicle and died last October.
The cemetery shared an image on social media of the design that will appear on Blossom’s marker, crafted by the Nevada Monument Company. The cemetery described the marker as a beautiful tribute to her memory.
