Bonduel, Wisconsin – The Bonduel School District is working to repair damage caused by a series of vandalism incidents carried out by individuals from outside the community, just days before the district’s Homecoming celebrations.

Superintendent Joe Dawidziak said witnesses saw the school’s exterior toilet‑papered, but the mischief did not stop there. According to the district, perpetrators placed slices of cheese on classroom windows, cameras, doors and vehicles; overturned a portable restroom; moved benches onto the football field; flipped picnic tables and benches; emptied garbage cans; removed a stop sign; and scattered large rocks in driveways. The district described the acts as “significant” and requiring “considerable time and effort” to address.
District response
Dawidziak praised the response from staff and students, calling it “nothing short of outstanding.” He noted that students continued to represent the school “with tremendous character, maturity, and class.” The superintendent urged students to remain the “better example,” emphasizing that lowering themselves to the level of the vandals would serve no purpose.
He also warned against retaliation, stating that any retaliatory action would “reflect the very conduct we expect our students to rise above.” The district has promised to pursue any necessary consequences through proper channels while upholding the school’s values and community pride.
Looking ahead to Homecoming
Despite the recent disruptions, the district remains optimistic about the upcoming Homecoming festivities. Dawidziak encouraged students to celebrate with “class, respect, and good judgment,” reminding them that Homecoming “should never involve another school or community.” He urged the student body to keep the focus on Bonduel’s traditions and positive experiences.
The district continues to investigate the motives behind the vandalism and is working with local law‑enforcement to identify those responsible. Community members have been asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
