Better Health Counseling expands to new Georgetown location, adding providers

Better Health Counseling, a family‑owned mental‑health practice that has served Williamson County for more than two decades, announced this week that it will relocate to a new, larger address in Georgetown, Texas. The move is part of the practice’s ongoing effort to make counseling more accessible and affordable for the region’s families.

Growth driven by community need

Owner and founder Lindsey Heselbarth, who brings over 20 years of clinical experience, explained that the Georgetown expansion will increase the practice’s therapist roster from roughly 30 to about 45 providers. “We’ve seen a growing demand for quality mental‑health care across Hutto, Round Rock and now Georgetown,” Heselbarth said. “Our new space will allow us to serve more children, teens, adults, couples and families without sacrificing the personalized attention our clients expect.”

Affordable care remains a priority

Better Health Counseling continues to accept most major insurance plans and offers a sliding‑fee scale for patients who need financial assistance. Heselbarth emphasized that the practice’s mission is to remove cost barriers that often prevent families from seeking help. “Mental health is a cornerstone of a strong family and community,” she noted. “By keeping care affordable, we help preserve the stability that families rely on.”

Local impact and job creation

The relocation is expected to create new jobs for therapists, administrative staff and support personnel in Georgetown. Local officials have welcomed the expansion, noting that increased access to mental‑health services aligns with the city’s broader public‑health goals. The new office will also provide a convenient location for residents who previously traveled to Hutto or Round Rock for appointments.

What patients can expect

Clients visiting the new Georgetown site will find a modern, welcoming environment designed for comfort and privacy. Services will continue to include individual therapy, family counseling, couples therapy, and specialized programs for children and adolescents. Heselbarth said the practice will maintain its evidence‑based approach, integrating cognitive‑behavioral techniques, trauma‑informed care and family systems therapy.

Looking ahead

With the Georgetown move, Better Health Counseling aims to solidify its role as a leading mental‑health resource in Williamson County. Heselbarth expressed optimism about the practice’s future, adding that the expansion reflects both community trust and the growing recognition of mental‑health care as essential to overall well‑being.

For more information about services, insurance participation or to schedule an appointment, residents can visit the practice’s website or call the Georgetown office directly.
