Bentonville’s Future STEM University Takes Shape

New renderings have been released for the future STEM-focused university planned for the former Walmart Home Office site in Bentonville. The Walton family announced that the Bjarke Ingels Group, known as BIG, has been selected to design the campus.

Design and Construction

The newly released renderings show plans for an academic building, student housing, and a makerspace connected by public green spaces and plazas on SW 8th Street in Bentonville. Construction is currently underway on the campus, which is expected to open in 2029 and focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
