The Beehive Fire, located northwest of Tres Piedras in the Carson National Forest, has grown to 2,236 acres with no containment reported. The fire started on Friday and has been burning since then. About 200 people are currently fighting the flames.
Fire Management and Restrictions
The Northern New Mexico Type 3 Incident Management Team will take command of the fire’s management on Monday morning. Additionally, the Carson National Forest will move to Stage II fire restrictions on Tuesday, June 30. For more information, visitors can check the forest website.
