The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will present ‘Coming to America’ at the Historic Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa. The movie is part of the Bama Art House film series and will be shown tonight at 7:00p.
A Community Movie Event
Nicholas Finch with Bama Art House said the movie is an opportunity for the community to have fun together. ‘There’s nothing like the experience of quoting a fun movie with a room full of people. It’ll be a family-like movie event,’ Finch said.
The Bama Theatre aims to create a welcoming space where moviegoers can fully enjoy and express themselves during familiar films. ‘The BAMA is a safe space for expression when it comes to enjoying these movies like ‘Coming to America,’ which was chosen because it’s a classic Eddie Murphy with a proven track record of enjoyment,’ Finch said.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for students and seniors ages 65 and older, and $8 for Arts Council members. A $70 Bama Art House season pass is also available, which includes admission to 10 films and does not expire.
