Ballet Greenville

Ballet Greenville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies on donors, grants, and ticket sales to bring professional ballet performances to Greenville. Established in 1971, the organization has 13 employees and 65 volunteers, serving the Greenville and Upstate, SC areas.

Mission and Impact

Ballet Greenville’s mission is to create experiences using the medium of dance to educate and entertain — bringing stories to life and fostering a community of joy. The organization envisions a vibrant, thriving Greenville where culture is enjoyed by all, and aims to create rich experiences through dance to educate, entertain, and provide joy.

Ballet Greenville gives back to the community through its community “Nutcracker” performance, the Boys to Dance program, and the Pre-Professional dancer program. The organization also engages with the community through performances at Fall for Greenville, Artisphere, and Open Studio sessions.
