Madison Warner, the 36-year-old daughter of Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, was found unresponsive in her hospital bed at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a syringe in her hand. The Palm Beach County medical examiner ruled her manner of death undetermined.
Autopsy Report Details
The autopsy report revealed that Warner had been hospitalized for two days due to complications from anemia. A visitor had left her room approximately 10-15 minutes before nurses found her unresponsive. The report does not specify what was in the syringe.
The medical examiner concluded that Warner died from complications of acute on chronic IV injection of oral medications, which caused both recent and long-term damage. However, the manner of death was ruled undetermined due to the lack of medical records and unclear circumstances surrounding her death.
Sen. Mark Warner had previously announced that his daughter died from complications of juvenile diabetes. The family has requested privacy and compassion as they grieve this tremendous loss.
The West Palm Beach police have closed the case after an extensive investigation.
