A unique art exhibit, ‘Companion: Coordinates of Belonging,’ is on display at White River Farm, a property owned by author John Green and his wife, Sarah Urist Green, an art curator and author. The exhibit features 55 contemporary artworks in a natural setting, including a film inside a barn, a sculpture in a pond, and a red-eyed rabbit in the kitchen.
Local Art and Nature
The exhibit is curated by Braydee Euliss, who operates an art gallery in her historic house. Euliss wanted to create a space where people could feel at home with the artwork and imagine it in their own space. The exhibit includes works by 17 local artists, using materials such as shells, freshwater pearls, rice, pressed flowers, grass, and curly maple.
The exhibit is open to the public, with viewing appointments available on July 17 and 18. A closing reception will be held on July 19, featuring a curatorial tour, garden walk, and flag-lowering ceremony.
