Little Rock, Ark. – The Arkansas State Fair proved once again why it is a beloved tradition for families across the Natural State. According to a press release from the fair’s organizers, a total of 500,785 people attended the 10‑day celebration held from Oct. 15‑25, 2026.
That figure includes a record‑setting 57,258 guests on the final day alone, a clear sign that the fair’s programming continues to draw crowds. “Welcoming half a million guests is a testament to the families, exhibitors, vendors, sponsors and volunteers who make the Arkansas State Fair an Arkansas tradition,” said Tiffany Wilkerson, General Manager of the fair.
Highlights that drove attendance
The 2026 fair featured several first‑time attractions that helped boost interest. The inaugural Great Corn Dog Countdown kicked off the event with a special appearance by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Lieutenant Governor Leslie Rutledge, adding a touch of state‑level pride to the festivities.
In addition, the fair set an all‑time attendance record for Monday’s schedule, and the Sale of Champions raised tens of thousands of dollars for local agricultural programs. These elements, combined with classic rides, live music, and a wide array of food vendors, created a “Fair to remember,” according to Wilkerson.
Growth from the previous year
Attendance this year represents an increase over the 2025 edition, which saw 473,601 visitors. The upward trend highlights the fair’s continued relevance as a family‑friendly destination and a vital economic driver for the region.
Local businesses reported a surge in sales during the fair’s run, with hotels, restaurants and retail shops benefiting from the influx of out‑of‑town guests. The fair’s organizers noted that the event supports not only cultural heritage but also the state’s tourism economy.
Looking ahead to 2027
Plans are already underway for the next fair, scheduled for Oct. 15‑24, 2027. Organizers promise new attractions, expanded vendor spaces and continued partnerships with state officials to keep the tradition thriving.
“We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2027,” Wilkerson added, emphasizing the fair’s role as a unifying celebration for Arkansans of all ages.
