An Arkansas man was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20, state police said. Kyle Ricks, 33, of Crossett, Ark., was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. near the U.S. Highway 371 intersection. The preliminary investigation indicates Ricks, who was eastbound on I-20 in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, ran into the rear of a Kenworth tractor-trailer that was ahead of him.
The tractor-trailer driver was properly restrained and uninjured. Impairment on the part of Ricks is suspected, state police said.
