Andy Stephenson was officially sworn in as the 23rd police chief of Goshen, Indiana, in a public ceremony held at the Goshen Theater. Mayor Gina Leichty administered the oath of office in front of city officials, members of the police department, and community residents.
Leadership and Experience
Stephenson brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, with service in both Indiana and North Carolina. He formally took over leadership of the Goshen Police Department following the retirement of Chief José Miller.
During remarks at the ceremony, Stephenson described the appointment as a significant responsibility and opportunity. "Exciting night, it’s a huge honor and great responsibility I’m looking forward to getting in there with my team and getting started," Stephenson said.
