SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – American Agricultural Insurance Company (AmericanAg®) confirmed that Pat Larsen, senior vice president of client retro and broker assumed pool management, will retire on Jan. 31, 2027. Larsen’s departure marks the end of a 36‑year career in the reinsurance industry, including 18 years with AmericanAg.
Career highlights and role
In his current position, Larsen works closely with AmericanAg’s clients, global retrocession partners, and internal teams to design retrocession solutions. He also oversees the broker‑assumed pools that the company maintains for select clients, helping to protect farms and agricultural insurers across the United States.
Personal reflections
“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with so many intelligent, professional, and authentic colleagues and business partners these past 18 years at AmericanAg and throughout my entire career in reinsurance,” Larsen said. “I’m ready for, and excited about, what lies ahead for my family and me as I start this next chapter.”
