Altus, a financial‑technology platform founded by the team behind MPCVault and operated by Metaloop Inc. of Palo Alto, California, announced today that its public beta is live. The service gives eligible investors who reside outside the United States direct access to real U.S. equities, trading 24 hours a day, five days a week, with funding provided through USDC on the Solana blockchain.
How the platform works
Altus combines stablecoin‑based funding rails with a regulated U.S. brokerage infrastructure. Users fund their accounts by depositing USDC on Solana; the platform converts that balance into buying power without the need for traditional bank wires, currency conversion, or other legacy processes. All trades are executed through U.S.-registered broker‑dealers that are FINRA and SIPC members, and the securities are held in regulated U.S. financial institutions.
Features available in the beta
- Access to more than 11,000 publicly traded U.S. stocks and exchange‑traded funds, including regular, pre‑market and after‑hours sessions.
- Fractional share purchases starting at $1, with no minimum investment requirement.
- Ownership of actual shares, not synthetic or tokenized representations, granting full rights to cash dividends and corporate actions.
- Regulated brokerage execution and custodial services provided by FINRA‑registered firms.
Altus also announced a launch promotion: eligible users who hold at least $100 in qualifying stocks by August 31, 2026 will receive a free stock, subject to terms, eligibility requirements and jurisdictional restrictions. The beta is accessible via iOS, Android and web browsers using the invite code “GOATED.”
Company vision
Altus describes the beta as “chapter one” of a broader plan to create a single account with one balance that can access every market on Earth. Future integrations may include perpetual futures, prediction markets, international equities, and a planned Altus Visa card that would allow real‑world spending directly from the platform’s USDC‑funded balance.
“Stablecoins are becoming the new backbone of global money movement, but the markets people actually want to reach still run on rails built decades ago,” said Karthick Sivakumar, Head of Operations at Altus. “For four years, over 1,000 institutions have trusted us with over $2 billion in assets because we refused to trade security for speed. Altus brings that same standard to individual investors everywhere.”
Regulatory disclosures
Altus emphasizes that it is not a broker‑dealer or investment adviser. Securities accounts are carried, cleared, settled and custodied by regulated U.S. financial institutions. The service is not available to residents of the United States or other restricted jurisdictions, and all investments involve risk, including possible loss of principal.
Potential users are urged to conduct independent research and consult licensed financial professionals before investing.
