ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man accused of cutting the neck of an 8-year-old girl has been handed a sentence exceeding a decade behind bars.
Nicholas San Souci pleaded guilty Friday to several counts of child abuse.
The attack occurred in 2025 at Saggios, a restaurant near the University of New Mexico, when San Souci allegedly used a broken beer bottle on the child, who required 19 stitches for her wound.
San Souci was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
