The Albuquerque Isotopes announced two new inductees into the Albuquerque Professional Baseball Hall of Fame. Former Pacific Coast League President Branch Rickey and former Isotopes manager Lorenzo Bundy will be inducted during an on-field ceremony at Isotopes Park before the team’s game against the Salt Lake Bees on June 27.
Induction Ceremony Details
The induction ceremony is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:10 p.m. in front of the pitcher’s mound as part of Dukes Retro Night. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m., and gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
Rickey served as president of the Pacific Coast League from 1998 to 2020. During his tenure, he oversaw the construction of 10 new ballparks, including Isotopes Park. The Isotopes said Rickey also played a key role in bringing the franchise to Albuquerque and helped secure major events, including the 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game and the 2011 Triple-A Baseball National Championship Game.
Bundy managed the Isotopes from 2011 to 2013 and ranks third in franchise history with 226 wins. In 2012, he was named Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year after leading Albuquerque to a division championship with a franchise-tying 80 victories. The playoff appearance remains the franchise’s most recent postseason berth.
The Isotopes said a postgame drone show, presented by the Albuquerque Journal, is also planned, weather permitting. Tickets for Dukes Retro Night are available through the Isotopes.
