Alamo Heights police have reported a string of burglaries at local businesses, with at least four incidents occurring recently. One of the affected businesses is Clippers Barber Shop, which was broken into on June 15 when a glass pane at the front door was pushed in.
Burglary Details
According to Julian Orosco, a hair cutter at the shop, security video showed the burglar, described as a skinny short man wearing Nike Shox, pouring himself a drink after breaking in. The burglar made off with hair clippers, including a limited-edition model.
Police believe the same burglar also broke into JB’s Barbershop nearby, where all of the shop’s hair clippers were stolen. However, investigators think a different burglar was responsible for breaking into two other Alamo Heights businesses, a beauty salon and a drip bar, where a man dressed in black was seen kicking in a window and rummaging through the cash register.
Police Response
Cindy Pruitt with the Alamo Heights Police Department encouraged business owners to be vigilant about locking their doors and securing valuable items. She also reminded the public to report any suspicious activity.
