Alabama men’s basketball will face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes in a neutral site matchup this season. The two-game series was announced on the Crimson Tide’s social media page on Thursday afternoon.
The first game will be played in Des Moines, Iowa, at the Casey’s Center on Monday, December 21. The second game will be played in Mobile, Alabama, at the Regions Center, which is set to open before the 2027-28 men’s basketball season.
According to a release by the University of Alabama, the Crimson Tide and the Hawkeyes have faced off twice before, splitting the matchups. Both matchups took place at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, with Alabama defeating Iowa in 2006, 72-60, but the Hawkeyes got revenge in 2010, defeating the Crimson Tide 55-47.
