Airbus has signed a multi-year agreement with Iliad-owned Scaleway to provide cloud infrastructure for sensitive industrial and defence applications. This partnership will support the deployment of AI tools developed with French startup Mistral.
Digital Sovereignty
Airbus Chief Digital Officer Catherine Jestin stated that the company selected Scaleway after assessing over 150 technical and legal requirements. The partnership aims to accelerate Airbus’ AI approach, with plans to migrate around 70 critical applications to Scaleway by the end of 2028.
The European Commission has proposed a Cloud and AI Development Act to expand domestic cloud and computing capacity, emphasizing digital sovereignty.
