A husky, named Sammie, was found abandoned and abused in Iroquois Park, Louisville, in April. The dog had twine wrapped around her muzzle and severe injuries, and had to be euthanized due to the extent of her injuries.
PETA has added $5,000 to the reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for the abuse, bringing the total reward to $15,000.
The dog’s owners reported that she had slipped out of their fence the night before she was found, during a thunderstorm, and they had no idea what had happened to her after she escaped.
