Background on the Judges
Jerry Bullard of Colleyville and Brian Stagner of Fort Worth are among the reappointed judges for the Eighth Business Court Division. Bullard has over 30 years of experience in state and federal court litigation, while Stagner previously served as counsel and a former partner at Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP.
The Texas Business Court was established in 2023 through House Bill 19, signed by Governor Abbott, to resolve complex commercial disputes and maintain Texas’ position as the top state for business.
