A.C. Steere Park, located at 4009 Youree Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a hub for community activity and inclusive recreation. The park features Leaps and Bounds, the first boundless playground in Louisiana, which provides universal playground modules to accommodate children of all physical and mental abilities.
Park Amenities
The facility, managed by Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation, offers a wide variety of amenities, including a popular splash pad, two lighted ball fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, and paved walking trails.
The land for the facility was originally donated by A.C. Steere in 1929. The park remains a central fixture for the surrounding Broadmoor neighborhood and is closed to the general public during Caddo Parish school hours when classes are in session, reopening for regular community use in the evenings and throughout the summer months.
