Indianapolis played host to some of the fastest swimming in the world this week as the 2026 Pro Swim Series wrapped up at the IU Indianapolis Natatorium — and the city witnessed a piece of history in the making.

According to SwimSwam, night three of the competition featured a world record performance by Douglass, capping off an electrifying three-day meet that drew elite swimmers from across the country to the Circle City.

The Pro Swim Series is one of USA Swimming’s premier annual competitions, and Indianapolis has long been a marquee stop on the circuit thanks to the world-class facilities at the IU Indianapolis Natatorium.
