Louisville Metro Police are investigating a shooting in the Shawnee neighborhood that sent a man to the hospital late Thursday night. The shooting occurred on Cecil Avenue, near West Market Street.
According to LMPD, officers were called to the 300 block of Cecil Avenue around 10 p.m. for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call LMPD’s anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
